We will arrive to Puerto Maldonado airport, capital of the biodiversity of Peru. We will begin our schedule traveling to the city by a private ecological bus. There we will take a bus in the port, we will travel along Madre de Dios River until to reach the boarding house in the Amazonie. There, they will be waiting for us, they will give us a nice typical and delicious drink, we’ll install in bungalows very comfortable. And then we will have the lunch.
We will be guided to the monkey island in the heart of Madre de Dios River, it is located 5 minutes from our boarding house.
Through this schedule, you will enjoy wonderful viewpoints with a rich diversity of flora and fauna. You will appreciate a huge diversity of monkeys such us: Maquisapa, el Martin, little lions, Frailes, Ronsocos, etc. and a rich variety of birds also. Day 2 - Cocha Perdido Alter having the breakfast, with a local guide, we will begin our adventure across the virginal forest depths until to reach the lost spring of Cocha, it is used as shelter and food for a huge variety of animals such as otters, alligators, turtles, sachavacas, birds with colorful feathers, the majestic jaguar and a huge variety of fish. This place belongs to the nature reserve of Eco-amazonas and an it’s essential to visit it because it has virginal marshes.
We will arrive to a extraordinary viewpoint with a view of the Amazonie. It’s built in the top of a tree called Shihuahuaco, the most luxurious and biggest tree in the area. In this place you’d appreciate the magic jungle. And then we will begin a nice travel by canoe in the river. We will visit a local traditional family and then we’ll come back to the boarding house. Day 3 - Briolo River/From Gamitana Breakfast, We will take another excursion along Madre de Dios Rive until to reach the start point of our trek in direction to Briolo/Gaminata River. This River is located in the heart of the virginal jungle. Its amazing motions form navigable wide canals where we’ll take the canoe. You’d appreciate the diversity of animals in their environment such as turtles, alligators, butterflies, etc. And then we will come back to the boarding house to have the dinner.
