DAY ONE: CUSCO – MOLLEPATA – SORAYPAMPA
We will leave cusco heading to Mollepata (2.880meters) by bus, during the way we’ll be able to appreciate the panoramic view of the landscape of Limatambo, also we’ll visit Ushnu of Tarawasi here we can see a flower made out of rock.
Later that day we’ll arrive to Mollepata, here we’ll meet the blacksmith, we’ll begin our journey for about six hours approximately, during this trek we’ll go through the communities of Cruzpata, Silcakancha and later we’ll arrive to our first camp site that is located in Soraypampa. (includes lunch and dinner)
DAY TWO: SORAYPAMPA – HUAYTAC – COLPABAMBA
After having a delicious breakfast we can start our trek for about four hours we’ll arrive to the first pass at 4.400 meters from this place we can see the glacier Salkantay at 6.261 meters
after three hours of trekking, we’ll have an awesome view of the mountains like Humantay, after walking for another three hours we’ll arrive to our second campsite that is in Colpabamba.
DAY THREE: COLPABAMBA – LLUSCAMAYU – SAHUAYACO
Early in the morning, after having breakfast we’ll start our trek through beautiful landscapes and we’ll start to go inside the jungle, here we can start seeing coffee plantations and fruit plantations as well like bananas, oranges etc. also with some luck, we’ll be able to see National Bird of Peru to cock from the rock, after this we’ll stop at the shores of the river to have lunch, after this well have a trek for about three hours until we reach the town of Sahuayco.
DAY FOUR: SAHUAYACO AGUAS CALIENTES
Early morning we’ll start our trek for three hours until we reach the Hydroelectric of Machupicchu, from here we can take the train to Aguas Calientes, here we can rest in a comfortable Hostel.
DAY FIVE: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO
Early morning we’ll head to the sanctuary of Machupicchu here we can have a guided visit to the archeological remains, once we are finish with our tour we’ll have some free time of three hours where we can visit Waynapichu and the temple of the moon,after this we’ll head over to Aguas Calientes, at about 14:00 hours we’ll take our train back to Cusco and we’ll get there at 20:30 hours.
