this magnificent and very used path around the majestic glacier Apu Ausangate the highest peek in the entire mountain chain of the Vilcanota range, is all develop in a great and spectacular panoramic view in the geographic area, of erosions, glaciers fauna, flora as well as in the arts and crafts in the Peru area, also enjoying the typical dances of the area.
DAY ONE: CUSCO / OCONGATE / TINQUI
The first day of the expedition, will start the trek at 6:00am. To head over to the first town of Tinqui, passing through very colorful communities through out the entire valley of the Hutanay River and the beautiful extensions of the fertile lands, we’ll set up camp at Tinqui.
DAY TWO: TINQUI / UPIS
After having breakfast, early morning we’ll start the trek heading over to the glacier Ausangate at 6.372meters observing the costumes of the high Andean communities, we’ll also enjoy the presence of the huge quantities of Alpacas, Llamas, Paco, visiting also the small town of Upis (4140meters) after this will head to the sector of the hotsprings, here we’ll set up camp.
DAY THREE: UPIS / LAGUNA PUCACOCHA
After having breakfast, early morning will return to the Arapa (4.700meters) to then
Descend heading to the lagoon of Paucarocha known because of the name of Jatun Pucacocha, Vincocha and Huchuy Punacocha, here not only will have a magnificent view of the landscape but also se the variety of Andean birds , will set up camp the shores of the lagoon
Day Four: LAGUNAS PUCACOCHA – PASO PALOMANI – CHILCAPINAYA
On this day will be able to appreciate the glacier Ausangate. Descending to the pass of Alcatani (4650meter) continuing the trek to the the lagoon of Ausangatecocha, to then ascend to the pass of Palomani (5.05meters) here we can visit the particular beauty of Chilcapinaya were we’ll set up camp.
Day Five: CHILCAPINAYA / VALLE DE JAMPA – PACHASPATA
Our journey will continue through out the Valley of Jampa were we can appreciate the Andean towns with its typical costumes of the region with a very large group of Alpacas, sheep, llamas, and pacos, then will descend to the last pass of 4,600meters then we can observe the beautiful lagoon of Ticllacocha , the valley of Pachaspata to set up camp at the shores of the Qomercocha Lagoon.
Day Six: LAGUNA QOMERCOCHA / PACCHANTA
Acompanied by magnificent landscapes of the highlands, we’ll descend to the town of Pacchanta, to then arrive to the hot springs of the same region, that will be very rewarding for the people that want to make use of them, with the awesome view of the Ausangate, we’ll set up camp close to the town.
Day Seven: PACCHANTA / TINQUI / CUSCO
After a brief walk about in the middle of the landscape of the andean we’ll arrive to Tinqui were we’ll board thr train to Cusco by bus.
